Cookie Monster Eating Less Cookies

– Something must be wrong in the land of Muppets. First PBS announced that “Sesame Street” would kick off its 35th season this week with a multiyear story arc about healthy habits. No problem there; childhood obesity rates are soaring. Then I learned of changes that turned my “Sesame Street” world upside-down.
My beloved blue, furry monster – who sang “C is for cookie, that’s good enough for me” – is now advocating eating healthy. There’s even a new song – “A Cookie Is a Sometimes Food,” where Cookie Monster learns there are “anytime” foods and “sometimes” foods.
What are they doing to are beloved Seasem Street? Kids are not overweight cause Cookie monster eats lots of cookies. Their parents need to watch what they allow their kids to eat and not let me eat fast food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Now don’t get me wrong, I love McDonalds and eat there every so often (once every couple of weeks) but stop blaming they why you are one everyone else. I am not fat cause of Cookie Monster, I am not fat cause of the fast food industry, I am not fat cause of all they great tasting junk out there. The only person I can blame for me being fat is myself.
