Mahna Mahna

One of the things that Raven got off of me was her love for The Muppets and Jim Henson. I have always been a fan of his and introduced her to Jim Henson’s work before she was a year old. I read her books based on Henson’s work, bought her DVD’s, CD’s and other miscellaneous Henson merchandise. And she has loved just about everything that she has seen that has been put out by the Jim Henson company . . . expect for one little music video that was on one of The Muppet Show tapes that I had bought for her. This cute little song which I have always loved would scare her to death from the ages 1 1/2 to 4 years old. Whenever that part would come on she would scream bloody murder and we would have to fast forward over it. Through the magic of the internet I have found the clip and you can play it below.

When I asked her if it still scared her she placed her hands on her hip and gave me a you must be kidding me look and stated “Mommy, I am going to be 9 years old.” After she watched the video all the way through she walked away shaking her head saying “Why was I ever scared of that.”
