Abercrombie & Fitch are selling thongs for children 7 to 14 year olds with words like “eye candy” on them. That is just flat out plain wrong and any parent who would buy this for their 7 year old should have that child taken away from them. And we wonder why we have an abundance of child molesters running rapid now a days yet we continue to let children dress like 30 year old hookers and we say “Oh, your 10 year old looks like a slut, how cute!” Childhood is the shortest part of our life and we should let kids be kids. So to Abercrombie & Fitch, go fuck yourself’s you sick bastards!

May 24, 2006 at 2:09 amWhile I disagree that they should have their children taken away from them (where would said children go?), I agree that some parents are really fucked up. I’m sure the thong (well, I hope at least) is to avoid panty lines and the sayings are just cutesy. But I tell ya, my fury is with these heels they are putting on little girls’ mary janes. For the love of Peet! What is a heel for except to make your legs look good. And what, praytell, does my four year old’s legs have to look good for? Dumbass parenting. Dumb asses!

May 24, 2006 at 9:41 amTwo years ago I’d have said that you were a prude and it was all in how you raise your children. Now I’m not sure. I agree with Heather on the issue of having the kids taken from them. I’m a foster parent and geesh they won’t even take a child from a person that I know is a child molester right at this moment so for letting them wear these clothes would never happen, but I get what you are saying.
My daughter is just 3. I know she’s going to want to wear those clothes and I used to think oh it’s how I raise her. I thought that the people griping over Bratz were stupid and then my daughter asked for one the other day. All because burger king is giving away accessories for them.
I’m not sure what I’ll do as far as some of these issues go. I’m still not sure that Bratz are bad. I can tell you one thing though, until my daughter is 18 she’s not wearing a tshirt that says eye candy and if she wears a thong it’s going to be in dress clothes to help a panty line.

May 24, 2006 at 9:56 amMe a prude? HAHA I have been called a lot of things in my life but never a prude.
Raven has bratz dolls and barbie dolls but there is just something about dressing up your child like a slut that really pisses me off. I can’t not think of any instance when a 7 to 14 year old should be wearing a thong. I will not buy Raven any type of cloths like until she is at least 16 years old. Then she can wear thongs and wear more make up.
I do agree with Ranee that it is in the way you raise your child but I still for the life of me can not understand why some parents still feel the need to have their grade school children dress like Paris Hilton.

May 24, 2006 at 12:06 pmOk,here I go. Thongs are not for kids!! If you can see panty lines then they’re clothes are too tight!! GET OVER IT!! I saw thongs in the kids department at target! WTF?!? I don’t understan why ppl dress their kids up as “lil adults” NEWS FLASH! they are NOT adults!! I saw a girl at the mall probably around 7 in high heal sandals ,a mini skirt, and a mid-driff that said “too hot”. WHy don’t you just buy them a tee that says molest me,or slut in training,,,that would be more honest. SHESH! Ok,i’m done and will get off my soap box. TY
PS Amanda is a prude Amanda is a prude!! lol Just teasing!! 😉

May 24, 2006 at 2:25 pmI don’t see how you made the jump from the information that they are selling thongs to 7 to 14 year olds to the conclusion that they are child porn supporters. Seems fairly sensationalistic to me.

May 24, 2006 at 2:38 pmThe horrible girl thong thing happened 4 years ago. They have since admitted regretting this move.

May 24, 2006 at 4:39 pmEssPea, this is my blog and if I feel the need to say Abercrombie & Fitch = Child Porn Supporters then I can. If they don’t like it then they can sue me for slander.
vampire bear, you can still find thongs for young children at their stores so they must not of regretted that much.

May 24, 2006 at 10:13 pmEspee: Its not sensational, rather very realistic. If they support having 7 year old girls wear assless underwear, it stands to reason they’d support child porn. Why wear a thong? Ask how many women find them more comfortable. Its a sex item, pure and simple, otherwise there is no reason for them. So again, child porn.
vampire bear: As Amanda said, they still sell the thongs, my wife and I have seen them ourselves. Very good show of remorse. That also means people are actually buying them. That’s not regret. Thanks for coming out guys.
