Wednesday I spent the day planting various flowers around the yard and weeding. At 8 o’clock I came in the house to do some little odds and ins while I waited for the season finale of Lost to come on, which I have been looking forward to since last Wednesday. I went into the downstairs bathroom to do some laundry when I found a mealworm on the floor. I had a passing thought about how it got in the house while I was flushing it down the toilet but didn’t think more about it and went back to the laundry. Then a saw another mealworm on the floor, and another, and another and even more. Now I was getting pissed. Less then 1/2 hour left until Lost graces it’s presence on my television and I have to deal with these damn worms! I cursed and Mike asked me what was wrong. I yelled “We’ve been invaded by mealworms!â€. His response was a simple “Throw them in with the blue gillsâ€. Yep, that’s all he says, no regard for me panicking cause the clock is ticking down to the series finale of Lost and I have to deal with these damn worms! I snatched up a couple of the enemy and made a mad dash to the kitchen to get the sweeper and tossed the worms in with the blue gill as I went by. I raced back into the bathroom with sweeper in hand and sucked up the invading insects all the while cussing them and wondering just how in the hell they got in here. Mike fishes with nightcrawers to catch blue gill and then blue gill to catch catfish, not mealworms so I know they didn’t escape from him. Anywho, I got the little buggers sucked up and dumped in the trash and as we speak they are outside waiting with the rest of the garbage for the waste management (aka garbage men) to haul their little wormy butts away. But the most important thing is I didn’t miss Lost!
