I Thought This Was A Free Country

There are way too many “groups” who feel that they have the right to tell me and you what to eat, watch, drink, do, ect. If I think Kentucky Fried Chicken is bad for me, I’ll not go there. If I am worried about cigarettes giving me cancer then I won’t smoke them. If I believe Big Macs will make me fatter, I’ll avoid them. If my doctor and I agree that I should monitor my salt intake I will make that choice. I don’t need some nameless, faceless “group” dictating my life for me. If there are those out there who choose not to monitor their own health why is that any business of yours? Don’t try to make me give up the things I like because you don’t agree with them.

I hate that so many people are that way and fall for that bullshit. Really we dont have alot of the freedoms we are told we do. people refuse to believe it but its true. People should be able to make choices on theri own without people telling them what they should do…

I agree to a point. When it comes to drugs I’d disagree, though I doubt you’re advocating drug legality in any way. Been debating that somewhat on my own blog lately. Its just like wearing a helmut on a motorcycle. If I want to be dumb and crack my skull open who are they to condemn me?
