Last Halloween Raven was Darth Vader and London was Yoda and so sticking with the Star Wars theme she has decided this year that she wants to be Princess Leia. So I searched online for instructions on how to do the Princess Leia cinnamon bun hair style and after a test run on Raven’s head I am confident I can make it look pretty decent. The next step was searching online for the costume. This is where I am stuck at. The only Princess Leia white dress child costume I can find is the deluxe version that includes the wig and cost an average of $29.99. Well, Raven doesn’t want to wear a wig and I really don’t want to pay $30 this year for her costume. So if anyone knows of any place where I could find a cheap Princess Leia costume please, please let me know!

September 25, 2006 at 1:19 pmYou could always make it yourself. If you’ve got a white sheet, some Stich Witchery, an old white belt (or some white spray paint) you could do it easily. You wouldn’t even have to sew if you got the Stich Witchery! Princess Leia’s costume is basically like one of those old angel costumes that they use in the nativity scenes–it’s just a “T” shaped piece of fabric–no side or shoulder seams. Let me know if you want to hear more.
