Saturday and Sunday I spent the day down at my Mom and Nan’s, helping paint the house. I cut down some tree limbs, scrapped and did some trim painting. Yesterday, a couple of hours after being home I started to get itchy bumps on my ankle. I didn’t think anything of it, just thought maybe it was bug bites. At about 10pm last night those supposedly innocent bumps had spread to cover both legs (front and back) and both arms (front and back).
I am truly starting to freak out! My sister-in-law’s wedding is Saturday and if it is some type of poison (ivy, oak or sumac) then I am in deep shit. See, I am extremely allergic to poison ivy, oak and sumac. If I even look at it I get it and it lasts for weeks and I can not have 80% of my body covered in poison when my sister-in-law’s wedding is days away. I am hoping and praying that it is just a bad case of hives. Dear God, please let it be a bad case of hives.
I am so very careful as to stay away from all things poison. The whole “Leaves of three, let it be†thing is something that I live by.
I even have these itchy bumps on the tops of my feet and I wore socks and shoes the whole time I was down there so if it is poison how in the hell did I get it on the tops of my feet that where covered in socks and shoes the whole time! I keep telling myself that, trying to make me believe that there is a good chance that it is just hives. I know, it’s wishful thinking but that’s all I have right now until I see if it starts to look like poison.
Thank God for Mike who is out with Raven as we speak trying to find me benadryl pills.

May 28, 2007 at 1:04 pmOh wow, that’s really horrible. I hope it is hives and not any kind of poison ivy, and that it clears up in time for the wedding. I’ll keep you in my prayers.
