Mike and I both have a couple of credit cards and they are really necessary for us since we own a few small online businesses. But I know a lot of people who do not like them, think they put people in debt. Yes, that’s true to a point that many people are in debt due to credit cards but who’s fault is that really? Shouldn’t the blame be put on the adults who where issued the cards. You know how much money you are able to spend and if you decided to put more then you can afford on your credit card shouldn’t you be responsible for that?
Here’s a little secret for you. Mike and I have debt. Gasp! Not like it’s that bad of thing really. Most people have debt. Especially when you count in the mortgage. Thank God our debt isn’t some horrible catastrophe but is rather something we can handle and manage. But you don’t here us whining about who’s fault it is that we have some debt cause the blame lies solely at our feet.
I know that all these offers out there for credit cards can be pretty tempting. Some offers can actually come in handy. Such as the 0% balance transfers. We have used one credit card to transfer the balance to another that had a lower interest rate, which really made a difference in what we ended up paying at the end of the month. Personally, I don’t think credit cards are evil and if they are used correctly they can be a real life savor.
