So, the house hunting isn’t going that good. The two original houses that Mike and I found in Parkersburg that we loved are all ready in contract (yeah thanks so much you fucking Realtor for stating on your website that the page is updated daily and that all properties are still active thus getting our hopes up for nothing). But through hours and hours of searching online we have found 2 other houses that we like.
The first one is in Ravenswood which is about an 1/2 hour from Parkersburg. We like this one but wanted something closer to Parkersburg.
This one is located in Parkersburg and we love the outside of it and that it comes with an extra lot. But there is no pictures of the interior of the house.
It doesn’t seem like we will ever find something that we like in our price range.
I am thinking about seeing how much it will cost us to get a buyers Realtor that will take what we are looking for in a home and find ones that meet the criteria. That would probably be the way to go.

September 14, 2007 at 9:55 amHi… I have been a silent reader for awhile. Felt it better NOT to insert my 2 cents in while you go through this transition. Even so, here I am… 🙂
I think both houses appear to be great, (not that you asked) but I wanted to tell you a buyers agent is typically 3-6 %, which, for the ease it would take off your search- may be worth it 🙂
Good luck!

September 14, 2007 at 2:38 pmI really love the first one but that might be because I can see the inside, where I can see the white cupboards in the kitchen. I’m pretty dern fond of white cupboards. hehe.
Good luck. They’re both really nice houses from what I can see and those prices are hard to come by these days! Then again.. those are prices you won’t find around here. I think the lowest I’ve seen up here was around $225,000ish. And that was for a condo!
