Not A Tap Dancer

Years ago when I was younger I took tap dancing lessons. I don’t know why but I really wanted to learn to tap dance so when my mom and dad agreed to enroll me in a class I was super excited. I could wait to start dancing. Unfortunately my excitement was brought to a dead halt when my mom and dad couldn’t find a pair of tap dance shoes anywhere. They went to store after store with no luck. They even started to look around at yard sales and asking people they knew if they had an old pair. This was years ago in the late 80’s early 90’s before the internet boom so we where not able to just jump online and order a pair from Justforkix.com where they have a huge selection of modern, pointe, ballet, tap, ballroom, character and jazz shoes, along with a large selection of dancewear, at prices that are sure to make your wallet happy. No. My mom and dad ended up having to travel an hour and a half to a specialty store just to get me a pair of tap shoes. When they came home with them I put them on and wouldn’t take them off for hours. I just went around the room pretending to tap dance and more then likely give my parents one heck of a headache. I took the dance lessons for a couple of weeks and then got bored with it and dropped out. So yeah. My parents wasted all that time on something that lasted a few weeks. I guess I will have to make that up to them.
