Recapping 2008? I Don’t Think So!

I have notice a lot of blogs have been posting a recap of 2008. You will not be seeing something like that on this site of mine, no you won’t. It’s not cause I have something against the whole recapping thing, actually I think it is a pretty cool idea. It’s just that 2008 (well, actually since October 2006) has been full of heartache, disappointment and depression and I just don’t want to rehash everything over again. Trying to make sure the past stays in the past is hard enough in my everyday life without me having to bring all those horrible memories and feelings back up. The wounds are still sore and healing, slowly but they seem to be healing all the same, and I don’t want to pick at those wounds and start the bleeding all over again. I am not going to go through what all had happened and you won’t find any of it on my blog. I have kept the details of what went on to myself (and the involved parties) except for one close friend (and she doesn’t know the whole story, about what went on from January 2008 to June 2008) and I want to keep it that way.

Here’s to hoping 2009 is a hell of a lot better then 2008 (and 2007 and 2006).

A girls gotta keep some secrets for herself too. Even though getting some things off your chest to a friend is therapeutic, sometimes you have to keep and deal with some yourself. I agree that doing a recap would probably open some wounds that are just now starting to heal. I believe that time heals all wounds, and I’ve found that continually talking about things that are bothering you just exasperates the problem.

Wishing you all the best Manda, and I love the new layout. Pink and falling snow…adorable!
