Black Friday, Snow and Christmas Cards

Our black Friday shopping began at 11pm at Walmart. After looking through the ads we decided that there was no big ticket items that we needed or wanted. However, DVDs and Blu-rays (along with a cheap sweeper) were on our list and they went on sale at Midnight. So we headed up to Walmart. It was packed but we got what we wanted (Terminator Salvation Blu-Ray, The Dark Knight Blu-Ray, 2 sets of 40pc storage containers, $28 Bissell sweeper, electric blanket, mini chopper and a sweater). We got home at about 2am and went to sleep. Later that morning (about 11am) we went to Target to see what items they still had left. I was able to pick up Clash of the Titans (the remake, we all ready have the original on DVD) on Blu-Ray and Psych Season 4! So, even though we didn’t participate in black Friday like we normally do we still got some great deals on the items we wanted.

The sweater, mini chopper, Psych Season 4 DVD and the 3 Blu-Rays.

We got some snow today. It did not accumulate but it was pretty none-the-less. Cold though, and I would much rather be hot then cold. Raven was excited because when there is snow there is a chance of school being canceled. She so looks forward to those snow days.

Oh, we also got our Christmas cards in the other day. We ordered them from Shutterfly.com and I am extremely pleased. I have been slowly but surely getting the cards ready to mail out to family and friends. They are better than I expected. The card itself is very sturdy and seems to be made of high quality. I am so looking forward to sending them out!

Your Christmas cards are great! Every year I tell myself that I’m going to send out cards and every year I end up forgetting about it / putting it off until it’s pretty much too late.

Sounds like you had a productive Black Friday experience even if it wasn’t a ‘typical’ one. This is the first year in a long time that I didn’t go shopping at all… Mainly because I had to work. lol
