Yesterday Was My Birthday

Yesterday was my 31st birthday. I can honestly say I do not feel that old. I still think of myself as being in my mid twenties with my life all planned out. How things have changed since I was 25. My life is nowhere near how I want it to be but I’m working on that.

Anyway, Friday night me, Mike, Raven and my Mom went to Texas Roadhouse for my birthday dinner. This was the first time my Mom has ever been to Texas Roadhouse (hell, this is the first time she has been out to eat in an actual sit down restaurant for years) and we all had a great time. It was nice getting my Mom out of her house and treating her to a fun evening with us. The rest of the weekend was spent as usually.

On Monday (my actual birthday), my Mom called me down to her house and gave me my birthday card (with some money) and 2 solar flower stakes that I wanted. After Raven got home from school, she gave me my birthday drawings that she made me.

While Mike gave me an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen (yummy) and a “I Love Zombies” bracelet.

For dinner we went to Buffalo Wild Wings and I was finally able to try fried pickles which btw where delicious and I will defiantly have them again.

I got a phone call from my Aunt Lois and Uncle Jerry singing “Happy Birthday To You” and many birthday wishes on facebook. All in all, it was a pretty darn good birthday.

I want to thank you for your comment! I appreciated it a lot, since I just started my blog back up. It’s always nice when visitors come across it. =]

Well, Happy Birthday! Sounds like you had a good one! Yummm, Texas Roadhouse. At our Roadhouse you have to ride the bull while everyone sings. I avoid the Roadhouse on my birthday. Lol, other than that they do have really good food. That was really nice to think of your mom on your birthday like that. I bet she was glad to be there with you.

Fried pickles? I haven’t even heard of them. It actually sounds pretty tasy. I want some now!!

    Again, Happy Birthday!

Happy Belated Birthday! Honestly, just by first impression of your blog, I never would have guessed that you were 31! I would have guessed 19 or 20 — seriously. That’s good though, eh? You’ll always be younger than what you really are. Those are some pretty awesome drawings. I’ve honestly never like ice cream cake all that much for some odd reason; I prefer old fashioned cake. Still, with all that icing, that does look yummy.

I’ve eaten fried Twinkies, fried Oreos and fried… I don’t know what else. I have never heard of fried pickles though. o_o

A happy belated birthday! I’m sorry I missed it on FB, been a bit under the weather these past two weeks so I’ve missed all important events. ;_; Also, I hear you on the “life isn’t exactly how I planned it to be” thing!

Your daughter is so talented @ art! <3 You must be so proud of her~.
