Medical Terms

When I worked in the local doctor’s office (as a medical receptionist), I learned several medical terms and some of them I still remember to this day. For example, while waiting in line at the grocery store, I overheard two women talking about a mutual friend who was having discectomy, which is the surgical removal of a herniated disc that is pressing against the spinal cord or nerve root. It’s kinda cool (to me at least) to know a few of these medical terms.
