Since my 10th wedding anniversary was last week, it got me thinking of our wedding. It was very low key. The ceremony was performed at Mike’s grandfather’s church (he is a preacher and married us)and the reception took place a few miles away at a town hall. We did not hire a photographer or a wedding videography and instead my cousin and Mike’s mom took the pictures and Mike’s dad videotaped. At the reception, we played nothing but songs by The Beatles and John Lennon and had a buffet filled with delicious food that my Mom and family made. The wedding cake was made by my StepMom and was heart shaped. The top layer was white cake, the bottom two layers chocolate and the two separate heart-shaped cheesecake (since I love cheesecake).
