Well, we may or may not be taking a real vacation this summer (maybe late June) to the beach. We haven’t been on an actual vacation since 2010 when we went to Kennywood and Sandcastle, and we haven’t been to the beach since 2004. To say I’m more than a little excited would be an understatement. So that means that I need to kick my weight loss into high gear because I don’t want someone to mistake me for an overweight beached whale while soaking up the sun. I know that with the short notice, I won’t be able to lose all the weight I need to to get back down to my desired weight, but if I could just lose 20 pounds before vacation, I will be one happy camper.
With that said, starting May 1, the husband and I are trying the Whole30 program. I have a huge addiction to sugar and am hoping to “kick the habit”. Now, that’s not to say I want to never eat sugar again. Oh hell no! But I would love it if I could reduce my sugar intake. While the Whole30 program is designed to be completed in 30-days, we are just going to take it week by week. This way it’s not as overwhelming as the thought of going a whole month without certain food groups.
Wish me luck!
