The Demon Barber

Two famous people that I absolutely love is Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. And when they join forces, which they have done five times before, you know you are in for a beautiful and entertaining piece of cinema. So of course I am extremely looking forward to their six collaboration entitled Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street that is due out in theaters Christmas day.

The movie is based on the hit Broadway musical that is based on the 19th century legend of Sweeney Todd. In the film Johnny Depp plays Benjamin Barker a barber who is married with a daughter and living a happy, simple life until a cruel Judge has Benjamin deported to Australia. Years later, a vengeful Benjamin is finally able to return to his home in England but only under the pseudonym know as Sweeney Todd. Who reeks havoc and terror on the society that took everything away from him.

You can rest assure that this movie will be bloody entertaining!

I really do not know if I can wait until Christmas day to see this movie so to tide me over a bit until I am finally able to lay my eyes on it I have been scowling the internet finding anything out that I can about the film. So the first thing I did was visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site where I watched the trailer (the costumes are absolutely beautiful), listened to the haunting soundtrack and download some goodies. Then I headed on over to myspace and added them to my friends list. You too can visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace and add them to your friends. Cause you can never have too many friends on myspace, right.

Cold and rainy.

Happy Turkey Day

So how was everyone’s thanksgiving? Ours was actually pretty fun and pleasant. We went down to the hubby’s grandparents for dinner. Had good food and even better company. Afterwards, my sister in law and her guitar playing husband came over to our house and talked, played some Guitar Hero 3 and then Halo 3.

So all in all this was a much better Thanksgiving then last years.

And because Ranee tagged me a few days ago:

The Rules:

1. Link to your tagger and post these rules.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself: some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post and list their names and link to them.
4. Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment at their blog.

7 random and/or weird things about me:

1. I am obsessed with trying to make our house smell pleasant 24 hours a day. And with a cat, dog, 10 year old and a husband that smokes it’s pretty darn hard.

2. When I am tired I either get goofy or moody. It’s a luck of the draw which one you will get.

3. I have iron deficiency anemia and I am suppose to be taking prescription iron pills. My iron gets really low, usually once every week or two, that it causes me to get extremely dizzy were I can not do anything including stand.

4. I have a intense hatred for the director Eli Roth. I hate him with the intensity of a thousand suns. There is only one person that I hate more then him.

5. I do not tan. I either burn or get sun poisoning.

6. I can not play any type of musical instrument but I can keep a beat.

7. I am scared that I will turn out like my mother.

Now here are the 7 people I’m going to tag.
Nikki, Kat, Faith, um . . . I have no one else to tag who all ready hasn’t been tagged.

I’ve Been Busy

I haven’t posted in a few days cause I have been extremely busy. You wouldn’t believe how incredibly busy I have been. It’s amazing that I have time to actually sit here and type this post up to y’all . . . because . . . you know . . . of how busy I’ve been. OK. That was a lie. It was all lies. Because I haven’t been busy. I have been slacking. But I have good reason for why I have been slacking. It’s this damn Call of Duty 4. I have been filling my time playing Calling of Duty 4 on Xbox live. So yeah . . . I’ve been busy.

Got To Get to Kohls!

I need to go to Kohls and I need to go right now! I have heard that they have The Office t-shirts on clearance! And I want them . . . All . . . Right Now. But of course we have no vehicle to use right now so I am stuck. Waiting. Hoping that when I do finally get to go that they will have some left in my size.

Monday’s A Bitch

1. If you could swim in a pool filled with any substance, what would you choose?
Probably some expensive and delicious melted white chocolate.

2. Describe your left hand in detail.
It pretty much looks like the right one but . . . you know . . . it’s on the left.

3. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Probably cheeseburger and fries.

4. Write us a haiku.
A voice that makes one week in the knees
A smile that melts ones heart
He is Ewan McGregor

Hey it’s the best I can do in short notice.

5. If you had some sort of deformity that was causing the general public to worship you as a God (not necessarily this one, but this story obviously inspired the question), would you want to undergo corrective surgery, or continue living as you were?
I really don’t know. I would think I probably would go ahead and have the corrective surgery.

Still At It

Yesterday, I went out driving again. Trying to get use to it without panicking and Mike said that I did a good job. I drove for about an hour and during that time I had periods were I was calm and in control and then other times I would start to doubt myself, my heart would start to race and my mind would repeat over and over that I can not do this, that I am going to wreck my mother in law’s car. My hands would start to hurt from gripping the steering wheel so damn tight. When I first started, it was cars passing me that got me nervous but now it’s going around turns. Cause I keep thinking that I am going to go over the yellow line when I am going around a turn and run head on into oncoming traffic. Or I’m afraid I will confuse the gas for the break. This is all stuff that comes into my head while I am driving. I wish I could push it out and not think about it but I do not seem to have the control to keep negative thoughts out of my head. Something as simple as driving and I am starting to have small panic attacks during the whole process. I need to get the negative thoughts and my self doubts under control soon cause I only have until the 17th of December to take the driving test.

Not Ready Yet

Last night on the weather channel they were saying that we might just see some snow tomorrow in the early morning. Ugh. I am not ready for snow yet. I love winter, mainly cause of Christmas, but I get tired of the cold rather quickly. This house of ours is old (it was built in the early 1900s) and has a lot of cracks that when the wind blows hard (which it seems to have a tendency to do more in the winter) it pushes all the cold air in through those cracks. So we have freezing air coming through the drafts. Like right now as I type this I can hear the wind outside and feel the cold air seeping in. It’s a bitch to keep it warm.

Trick or Treating

Raven was able to go out trick or treating Halloween night, which she was extremely happy. She got all dressed up in her Kakashi costume and we waited outside talking to my father in law until it turned six (trick or treating was from 6 to 7). We only waited about 5 minutes but it seemed “like forever” to Raven. We went up and down every street. Raven collected a pretty good bit of candy. Most adults didn’t know who she was suppose to be but she was more then happy to tell them all about Naruto. The look on some of the people’s faces were funny. I think they thought she was a boy, so when she started talking in her little girl voice it kinda threw them off. LOL.

After trick or treating was over we went down to my mom’s house so Raven could play a trick on her. I figured with Raven in her costume, that my mom wouldn’t recognize her (by the way, my mom’s nick name for Raven is Boo, this will be important later in the story). So Mike dropped Raven and I off a little ways before my mom’s house so they wouldn’t here the car and Raven and I ran up the road and while she knocked on the door I hid behind a tree. Raven walks up to the door and knocks. Trick or treating has now been over for about 20 minutes, but my mom opens the door and puts the bag of chips in Raven’s bag. And my mom just stands there waiting for this strange little kid the leave. Raven then asks don’t you know who I am. And pulls down her mask and says Boo. My mom still just stands there. She said later that she thought this kid was trying to scare her by saying Boo. The whole time I am behind the tree laughing my butt off because of the confused look on my mom’s face. Raven then tells her that it’s Raven and mom laughs and says she didn’t know it was her. We all go inside and talk for a little while and mom fills Mike up a bag with the left over goodies that they didn’t pass out. Afterwards, we headed on up to my mother in law’s, but Raven wasn’t able to fool her cause she was there when Raven got her costume. Heck, she was the one who bought it for her.

Here is what Kakashi from Naruto looks like.

And here is a Close up of Raven dressed as Kakashi.
