#BEjulychallenge – Day 9

Last time you cried
While I don’t cry that often, sometimes (maybe once a month) things will just get to me and I need to release those emotions. So, I end up hiding in the bathroom or kitchen where no one can see or hear me and cry for a few minutes. But the last time I actually cried for reasons other then stress… I’m not sure.

#BEjulychallenge – Day 7

A difficult time in your life.
Yeah, I’m just going to skip this because the difficult time in my life is not something I want to discuss. It was horrible and it could still happen again.

So, instead here’s a cute gif.

#BEjulychallenge – Day 6

Something or Someone You Miss

This woman right here. My Nan. She’s my Mom’s mom (my grandmother), but is better known as Nan (or Nanny when I was little). This old woman would make me so mad at times that I could spit nails. But I love her like you wouldn’t believe. She was a strong, funny, perverted, kind and God-fearing woman that raised 4 kids by herself after her husband died. Even if she didn’t agree with your life choices, she would never treat you badly and (despite any differences in opinions or lifestyles) she would always welcome you into her home. If I can be half the woman she was, then I will be one happy gal. Sadly, she passed away in January 2011. I miss her every single day.

#BEjulychallenge – Day 4

Most Proud Moment
With Raven as my daughter, my life is filled with proud moments. So choosing one is rather hard. But one that sticks out in my mind happen many, many years ago when Raven was in preschool.

When we went to pick her up one day towards the end of the school year and her teacher wanted to talk to us. She informed us that Raven had befriended an extremely shy girl at the beginning of the year. This girl was so shy that she didn’t want to participate in any activities and the teachers couldn’t get her to take part in the class. Over the course of the year, the shy girl began to become more active in class projects and began to talk more. The teacher went on to tell us that she credits Raven for helping to bring that girl out of her shell. After the teacher was finished, the parents of this little girl came up to us and thanked Raven for being friends with the shy girl. They talked on and on about how polite, friendly and nice Raven was and that if it wasn’t for her, they don’t think their shy daughter would have been able to finish preschool.

If that wouldn’t make ya proud, I don’t know what would!

#BEjulychallenge – Day 3

Piercings and tattoos? If none thoughts on them…

I have my ears pierced (got them pierced for the first and only time when I was 27 years old), but I have no tattoos. I would love to get the Firefly logo tattoo on my wrist and a small TARDIS tattooed on one of my fingers. But I don’t know if that will ever happen. I’m not a fan of pain and, even though I was told by my doctor that I must have a high threshold for pain, I’m not sure I can handle it. I would like to find a trusted person with a tattoo gun (? tattoo machine, whatever they’re called) to tattoo nothing (no ink) on the areas that I want the tattoos. That way I will know if I can handle it or not. Make sense?

#BEjulychallenge – Day 2

3 Personality Traits You Are Proud Of:

  • My sense of humor.
  • My politeness
  • My enthusiasm for my fandoms.

I’m not the type of person who compliments myself much, at all. But I can honestly say, my politeness is one of the personality traits I am most proud of. And I lay the credit for my politeness right at my parents feet. They taught me to say “Yes, thank you”, “No thank you”, “Yes, please”, to hold the door open for others, to talk politely to waiters/waitresses and others who are providing me a service and a slew of other manners that seem to be greatly lacking in today’s society. And I hope I have passed that trait down to Raven.

#BEjulychallenge – Day 1

Goals for This Month

  • Lose 5 to 10 pounds.
  • Walk at the very least 2 miles five days a week.
  • Manage my time better.
  • Go on some kind of day trip.
  • Wash the outside of our house (the siding is DIRTY and needs a good scrub down).
  • Get the basement cleaned up.
  • Re-organize and clean the storage room.
  • Increase the number of clients I have.
  • Finally make that BIG decision that has been racking my brain for the past year. (Don’t ya just LOVE vague sentences!)

I think those goals are pretty doable if I stick with it and actually take the time needed to accomplish them. Well see.
