I Quit!

This past week has been an eventful one.

I pretty much quit my job. Friday the 26th of September was pretty much my last day. I just couldn’t take it anymore. We get paid shit, work our asses off and to top it off we don’t know what days we have off until we call in that day to see if we work or not. Working there pretty much made my life a whole last minute decision thing and I did not like that, not one bit. I want a job were I work day shifts Monday thru Friday and have weekends off. I know, that seems like too much to ask for but that is what I am going to try to get. Cause I want to be with my daughter and husband when they are not at work or school. Why is that so horrible?

So I went up to Manpower, it’s a company that places applicants in temporary jobs, on Monday and applied and then had to come back on Thursday October 2 to do my interview and testing. I did testing in data entry, Excel, Microsoft Works, typing and proof reading (which I did above average in all those yay me). So I am just waiting to hear something back about (hopefully) a job that suits me.

2nd Day Off

Welp, I got most of the stuff done yesterday that I was needing to do so that’s all ways good. Now my second (and last day off of the week) is going to be spent doing nothing productive at all. I am going to waste the day away doing crap that I want to do, not have to do. Like messing around online with my site, take some photos, play Devil May Cry 4 on xbox 360, watch the Death Note movie and things of that nature. Hey, I work all week at the hotel, then I come home and work. I deserve a day of absolute laziness.

To Tired To Think Of A Title

Tomorrow is my first day off of the week, then Thursday is my second day off. I am lucky to have my two days off in a row. And trust me I need it. Not like I am really going to be getting much rest on my days off. I gotta clean up the house, work on the site, run some errands and hopefully go and visit my Mom and Nan.

The Beginnings of Halloween Fun

Just got back a few minutes ago from Morgantown with Mike and Raven. We went up there and ate at Chili’s and went to the halloween store, pet store and the bookstore. Raven got her Halloween costume tonight. She is going to be Naruto from the japanese manga / anima of the same name. I am going to have her put it on probably tomorrow and take some pictures.

Work Hard, Get Paid Shit

I work as a Housekeeper at a hotel chain. I clean anywhere from 11 to 22 rooms. I will list the stuff that has to be preformed in each room so y’all will get an idea of what it is that I do exactly.

– Strip the bed of the dirty sheets and pillowcases, take the dirty towels out of the room. Throw all dirty items down laundry shoot.
– Make the bed with clean sheets and pillowcases. The bed can either be 2 twins or a king and possible a couch bed or roll away.
– Empty the two trash cans
– Clean the bathroom counter top
– Clean the bathroom mirror
– Clean the shower
– Clean the toilet
– Clean the bathroom floor (which is getting down on our hands and knees with a rag and cleaning fluid).
– Dust everything (the stands, the pictures, the tv, the clock radio, the phone, the coffee maker, the light fixtures).
– Check all lights, replace light bulbs if needed.

– Stock the room with the following:
::4 Cold Cups
::4 Hot Cups
::2 Decaf Coffees
::2 Regular Coffees
::2 Swizzle Stick packages
::1 Ice Bucket Bag
::2 Trash Can Liners
::1 Drycleaning Bag
::1 Drycleaning Order Form
::1 Pen
::1 Notepad
::4 Towels
::3 Hand Towels (folded in a cute and annoying way)
::3 Wash clothes (folded in a cute and annoying way and placed inside of hand towels)
::1 Bath Mat
::1 Shampoo
::1 Conditioner
::1 Mouthwash
::1 Moisturizer
::1 Bath Soap
::1 Face Soap
::1 Makeup Remover Pad
::2 Rolls of Toilet Paper
::1 Box of Tissues

– Run Sweeper
– Frebreeze room

And depending on what day it is we have to do extra stuff like Wednesday is grout the floors day. We do all that (plus some extra shit) for a crappy $6.75 an hour. Yeah. Not much. Not enough to live on. I need to find a better job that pays more.

I’m So Tired

Well, today is my day off and last night I spent the night in pain cause I was up most of the night with indigestion and I can’t even seem to form understandable sentences today cause I am so fucking tired. Ugh.

I’m Dressing Up This Year

At work we are allowed to dress up for Halloween. So of course I am going to take part in it and hopefully win the costume contest. I just don’t know what to be. I thought about possibly going ahead and spending the $80 on a Battle Royale costume. I love that movie. Have seen it hundreds of times. I first saw it years ago and that movie is what got me started on the whole Japanese culture.

Anywho, I thought about it but the costume is just really like a school uniform and doesn’t really look Halloweeny. So I’m not sure if I will go with that or possibly something else. Any suggestions?

Tokyo Gore Police

Yeah, so I am really, really wanting to see the over the top Japanese gore film called Tokyo Gore Police. Anyone close to me knows my love for horror movies, gore, jhorror (japanese horror movies) and the soft spot that will probably always be in my heart for most things Japanese. So it’s no surprise that this movie (which releases on DVD in October) would immediately catch my attention.

The movie’s about a group of mutated humans called Engineers. The mutation allows them to create weapons out of their wounds — including a man who turns his bitten off penis into a cannon. There’s also a female Engineer who, after getting her breasts sliced off, begins lactating acid, burning the flesh off her victims. OK, I’m sure you get the picture. The Tokyo police have become a privatized force specializing in hunting down said Engineers.

So, yeah. Watch the trailer. Tell me you love it. Tell me you hate it. Tell me I am a sick bastard. Just tell me something.

Saturday Six

1. What is your favorite carnival ride?
Wow, I’m not for sure. I would probably have to say the Spider which is sometimes called the octopus.

2. What is the biggest prize you ever won at a carnival or fair?
A big stuffed panda bear for throwing darts at balloons and busting them.

3. What is the most you ever spent at a single carnival game?
Not sure. I don’t think I have ever spent over $5 though.

4. Take the quiz: What carnival ride are you?

You Are a Carousel

You are young at heart and a truly playful person. No one would ever accuse you of taking life too seriously.
You are definitely in things for the fun. You find joy easily, and you are often building up anticipation for your next adventure.
In relationships, you tend to want to be babied and taken care of.
And while you may be a bit high maintenance, you are incredibly loyal.

Your life is simple and satisfying. Each day you treat yourself to something you enjoy.
You have a lot of emotional attachments, and experiences are extra vivid to you.
You tend to be nostalgic and sentimental. The past is important to you.
Comfortable around all living things, you have a special connection to animals and children.

At your best, you are whimsical, free spirited, and creative.
Even if your schemes seem a bit strange, they usually work out wonderfully.
At your worst, you are spoiled, demanding, and impossible to satisfy.
You’ve been known to act like a brat if you aren’t getting your way!

5. If you went to a typical carnival and realized you weren’t in the mood to ride the rides, what would you be more likely to want to do to amuse yourself?
Well, more then likely I would have went with some family or friends so I would probably goof off with them and eat a funnel cake and some cotton candy until I am about ready to pass out from sugar shock.

6. What job would you least like to have at a carnival or fair?
The person who cleans up the puke.
