Well, I completely failed NaBloPoMo several days in a row. And I have no excuse besides beginning busy and just not feeling in the mood to blog. Raven has been sick this whole week. Poor girl has a week off from school for Thanksgiving break and she has to spend it sick and stuck in the house. Not that going outside is much fun. It has been cold, rainy and gloomy most of this week. It has been raining so much that nearby rivers, streams and creeks have been flooding. Our basement is even a little flooded but nothing we can’t deal with it. On another note, today has been spent making mini pumpkin cheesecakes. We typically go to different family member’s homes for Thanksgiving dinner but with Raven being sick, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. But my awesome family is going to fix us plates and bring over some food so we can still have some Thanksgiving food without me having to cook.

Breaking Dawn
I’m not a huge Twilight fan (I’m more of a Harry Potter girl myself) but I have watched all the Twilight movies so far (and bought them on DVD) and am wanting to watch Breaking Dawn. I liked Twilight and New Moon but did not care for Eclipse one bit. I thought it was boring beyond belief. However, I have recently developed a newfound respect for the actor who plays Jasper (Jackson Rathbone). I saw him on the Today Show the other morning without all that stupid Twilight makeup and all I can say is OMG! He so freaking hot! Just to give you an idea of what he looks like, here is a picture:
Anyway, tomorrow is Raven’s last day and then she is off for Thanksgiving break. She cannot wait and neither can I. I like the idea of not having to get up at 5:50am!
It’s Up
Raven and I put the Christmas tree up tonight. We didn’t decorate it yet because we want to give Nefarian a few days to hopefully get use to it. It has been up for about an hour and he has all ready tried (with a few successful attempts) to climb the tree no less than a dozen times. Jedi looks at Nefarian like he is a damn idiot. When he is not trying to climb on or chew the Christmas tree, Nefarian is staring at it planning his next attack on the big, green thingamajig. I assume he is going to have a ball after I go to bed cause there will be no one to stop him from conquering the Christmas tree. It wouldn’t surprise me if, when I get up in the morning, there is a flag with Nefarian’s name planted on the top of the tree.
I Failed
Well, I failed NaBloPoMo. But in my defense, yesterday was such a busy day that I didn’t count on. First I had my sister-in-law’s baby shower (which she looks amazing!), then my Dad came in from Ohio for a surprise visit (which was completely awesome because I wish I could see him more often), then I went down to my Mom’s and talked to her for a bit before having to deal with a mini crisis that my cousin was going through. When I finally got back home it was after 9 that night and I still had work to catch up on. As I drifted off to sleep last night, I remember that I had forgot to post but it was all ready after midnight.
Not A Proper Post
Just a quick post so I don’t miss NaBloPoMo. I have been spending my night baking cupcakes for my sister-in-law’s baby shower tomorrow. That is all.
I Hate You
I have bought many, many Pampered Chef products because . . . well . . . I love their products! Except for this:
I bought this vegetable peeler years, years ago. I think it was back in 2004. I bought it because it looked great and I just knew it would be awesome because all of Pampered Chef’s products are nothing but awesome.
I. Was. So. Wrong.
I hate HATE this vegetable peeler so damn much. It is the bane of my existence. OK. I have many banes in my existence and this is one of them.
Whenever I have to peel vegetables, (I had to peel cucumbers tonight) I groan because I have to use this damn thing. The funny thing is, I don’t know why I don’t just buy a new peeler. It’s not like they are that expensive. But I always forget how much I hate that damn peeler until it comes time for me to use it.
Do you have an inanimate object in your house that you loathe?
Back On The Wagon
I started the Crunch Bootcamp exercise again yesterday. I first started it last year and it worked well to get me a little toner but I slacked off and didn’t start it back up again until this past summer. But after we bought our house and were working on it every day for several months, the Bootcamp exercise got pushed to the back burner. I am hoping I can stick with it for longer than a few months this time. I hate to say it but I have gained 4 pounds and it is unacceptable. If I don’t get a handle on things now, then I will just continue to put on the weight which I do not want!
Staying In Bed
Some days, I just want to stay in bed.
Is that bad?
It’s not that I am depressed or miserable, it’s just sometime I would rather do all my daily tasks in my soft, warm bed. If I could somehow install wheels and a motor on my bed, life would be pure heaven. I of course would have to widen the door frames a bit so I could get my newly motorized bed throughout the house to wash dishes, feed my fuzzy babies, cook dinner, perform the daily housekeeping and go outside to mow the grass all without ever leaving my comfy bed.
Hell, if the motor was powerful enough I could drive my bed to the store for a little grocery shopping. How the townsfolk would look upon me with envy, wishing they could just stay in their beds. But they can’t because I am the only one with a special motorized bed! Muhahahahaha!!!
Headaches
Seventy percent of the time, I feel icky. It’s mostly due to my extremely low iron (I have been on iron supplements since I was a baby and my doctor is worried about my iron dropping too low which will result in me needing a blood transfusion). Thanks to the wonderful head nurse I use to work with, she was able to run a few tests on me (using natural methods) to figure out if my body wasn’t producing iron or if it wasn’t holding on to it. According to her, my body is unable to absorb and hold on to the iron.
Anyway, the past two weeks I have been feeling even worse. It’s not a cold or flu feeling. It’s an overall general crappy feeling. And I have been having painful headaches that appears only on the left side. Performing an online search tells me I may have either a migraine or cluster headache. I found a few natural remedies (I don’t want to go to the doctors) online that I am going to try tomorrow. Hopefully they help.
Movie Night
This afternoon, I brought my Mom over to my house to watch Paranormal Activity 2 (Raven and me had all ready watched it in the theaters last October). She liked the first one but had yet to see the second. I fixed some snacks for us to pig out on and we all (me, my Mom and Raven) had a good time. It was nice getting my Mom out of her house. She doesn’t drive (her doctor recommended that she stop driving several years ago because of her health problems) and doesn’t like to leave her house for too long so I think it was good for her to get out. She needs to stop being such a hermit sometimes.
